Parker's DINO-MITE 3rd Birthday Party

My buggy boy Parker turned three. His birthday party was a Dino themed pool party.

All the kiddos got a dinosaur hat in their goody bags.
For the girls, I hot glued a cute little flower for a more girlie touch.

The goodie bags were personalized with a tag that said "Parker's 3" and another tag thanking his friends by name for coming to his party.

I found this Bubble refiller idea on Pinterest.

Honoring Aubrey

Throughout life people come and go. It is only those that are meant to be in your life that stick around for all the years of your life. I have had the pleasure of having several such people, whom I consider friends, in my life.

I have found kindness, love and support from those people in so many different ways from just a text, a hug, through strength in their comforting words, to a pocket token of positiveness to carry with me, to the most recent act of kindness, love and support...

To honor my daughter Aubrey who grew wings and left our world, a very special group of girls sent me a seed to plant in her memory. It is a small acorn that will eventually grow into a Live Oak tree.

Thank you Erika, Carrie, Rachel and Val! Thank you for thinking of my family and sending such an amazing gift and tribute. Love to you all!!

Getting Healthy: Mind, Body and Soul

My "25 days of light and positiveness from darkness" came to a close this past week. I had hope to bring positive thoughts into my day to day while possibly bringing some into my friends and family as well. In the search for positive quotes, I found myself filling myself up with it and seeing others being impacted as well.

Now that my mind and soul are moving towards the positive, it's time to get my body healthy also. Last Monday I began a new eating and workout plan. Along with working my abs and arms, I found a week by week schedule on Pinterest to help me work up to being a runner. Week one had me fast walking for 4mins, slow walking for 1min for 20 minutes. Saturday and Sunday I wanted to test my running and got a little jog in for 2mins each day. I walk in the evening. It is just beautiful watching the sky change colors as I walk. Little frogs start to come out once the sun is no longer visible. Then it's just the frogs, my music, my thoughts and me. I'm finding it to be my "Me time".
